MUBI, Delivering European Cinema Globally

With the support of Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme of the European Union

Over the years, MUBI, the curated online SVOD platform, has been championing hidden gems, forgotten classics and talented directors. Our goal has always been to be the online destination for film lovers across the globe to discover, watch and discuss the best of cinema.

MUBI offers a wide selection of films – from cult classics and masterpieces by established auteurs to fresh festival titles from emerging world talent. With the support of Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme of the European Union, over the course of the coming months, MUBI will continuously be highlighting the European films on the platform to increase the visibility and accessibility of European cinema on VOD, and to bolster MUBI’s longstanding commitment to European cinema.

The objectives of this ongoing project are to:

  • Continue championing European film across our global platform
  • Expanding our reach to new audiences worldwide and encourage existing audiences to discover European cinema
  • Make European cinema more accessible through the promotion of MUBI as an online access point
  • Explore new and innovative marketing strategies promoting European works, including festival partnerships and MUBI GO (an initiative offering MUBI subscribers one complimentary cinema ticket to a film chosen by MUBI playing in cinemas each week).

MUBI has highlighted the work of filmmakers like Angela Schanelec, Jonas Mekas, Claire Denis, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Eugène Green and many more (to come!).

With the generous support of Creative Europe, MUBI is putting European cinema directly in the spotlight by providing an online channel for a global audience. Welcome to MUBI.
